String Theory is a cello ensemble that was founded in 2011 at Columbia University where the group quickly rose as one of Columbia's most popular performing labels. Fusing several realms of music including jazz, classical, pop, and rock, String Theory performs original arrangements to audiences nationwide.

String Theory aims to challenge people to think creatively about classical instruments and inspire others to embark on stimulating musical journeys in their own unique ways.

On May 20, 2015, we gave one last performance at Commencement when we all graduated from Columbia University.

Steven is at the University of Utah, School of Medicine, studying to be an anesthesiologist.

Corinna studies at the Royal Academy of Music in London for a Masters in Music and founded Scordatura: Women's Music Collective.

After graduating with a Masters in Music at Juilliard, Nathan joined the Seattle Symphony and continues to post new content on Instagram and YouTube.

Maddie is currently a risk analyst at Stripe in San Francisco. She was also appointed the principal cellist of the Marin Symphony in September 2017.

Justin founded and directed Columbia Pops, and now works as a research engineer using deep learning to generate natural language at Google.

String Theory started as five unique paths united at Columbia. After Columbia, we became five unique paths once more. However, a lifetime of friendship and casual jamming and performing in the future is never out of the question.
